Summary:
The Craft – Substation Technician – T&D will be under general supervision and performs the work in the operation, construction, and maintenance of Electrical Substations and Battery Substations.
Requirements:
General construction of electrical substations.
Underground and above ground conduit.
Installs underground grounding systems.
Installs steel structures, electrical substations, and battery substations.
Installs MV/HV switches and other electrical equipment.
Assists in the layout and concrete placement of drilled peers.
Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Installing ground grid.
Operating equipment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Required.
1+ year working on electrical substations preferred.
Or Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver’s License Required.
Ability to travel 5-15%.
Site layout
Place/finish concrete.
Install AG/BG conduit.
Pulling control cable/general knowledge of terminating.
Erecting steel structures.
Anticipated base salary range: $21.00 - $ 33.00
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
Per Diem of $100.00 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.
